VICTORIA PARK.
(To the Editor.) Sir.—"Fair Play" is quite right in his remarks on the monopoly of the above park by one particular set of footballers to the detriment of all other amateur sports. This playground was obtained from the Harbour Board on the understanding that it was to become a recreation reserve, a breathing space for the working class and their families. But, alas. Saturday after Saturday they are denied this right, the streets being the children's only playing space, as the park is closed to swell the pockets of the League footballers. It is time this injustice was put a stop to.—l am, etc., FREE SPORT..
