NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A special meeting of the Northcote Borough Council was held last night, when the fotlowiing rates for the ensuing year were struck:—A general rate of V" to. tbe £; hospital and charitable aid of 2d in £: a special waterworks loan Interest Tate of 7d in £; and a special road loan interest rate of 6d in £; water rates In respect of the ordinary supply, a rate of 21 per cent on the annual value, nco-coasnmeEs H per cent, bose and stand pipes licenses £1 per annnm. Sanitation—A uniform sanitation rate of 26/ per pain ■per amnrm trpon all properties in the borough being less than one acre in extent.
