A statement just issued-of the bnsineas transacted at the General Post Office and stations of the City of New York during the calendar year 1912 shows -total Teceipts of 25,747,243 doßars, an increase of 1,557.123 dollars over the previous year, lio less -than 3,006ji531 dtiila-rs of this was from sates of stamps at. the 233 sub-stations about the city. The money orders issued numbered 10,914JJ22 for in aggregate value of doßars, whHe the-fees for isgaing tlrem were 254576 dollars. There were also received during 'Che year, pieces of regiebercd matter, and delivered. The special delivery letters mailed in tie city numbered 554,-*B3,- ami the number -delivered 1,418,327.
