GREY LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

• The Grey Lynn Borough Council met last night. Present: The Mayor (Mr G. Balldon), Councillors C. Norgrove, W. Donald, J. A. Warnock, G. J. Garland, E. Carr, F. Parsons, and J. W. Tattersfleld. Leave of absence was granted to Councillors Sehofield and Brinsden. A Fnulty Agreement—The Secretary to the Annklnnd Local Bodies Union of Workers wrote asking: for another conference on the ground that, owing to faulty drafting of a clanse In the Act, it would be necessary to meet once again and" ratify the agreement previously entered Into. The matter was referred to the Mayor to deal with. ' Valedictory Remarks.—Mr Baildon said that was the last meeting of the Conncii, and be wished to express his thanks to the members for the manner in which they had supported the chair. He regretted that Councillor Norgrore was not again a candidate. He trusted the other members were all returned. Mr Bafldou also expressed hie thanks to tlie Town Clerk,- the office, and also the outdoor staffs. He moved a vote of thanks he accorded the Town Clerk and botli staffs. Everything was done meat satisfactorily by the office staff and deo the workers outdoor. The motion was adopted.
