Zealand They all wore their decora-Hows, and showed the type of the old-time men of the Navy.. ". Mr T Allen (president), on behali ot the Association, thanked Captain Halsey for his courtesy in allowing them to he amongst the first to give a. welcome to Auckland. He assured Captain Halsey of their hearty devotion to the Empire, and pointed out that most of the Association wore decorations for service done in the British Navy in bygone days in many seas. Steam, he said, was prac•ticaliv in its infancy when some of their •older' membens were in the Navy. In conclusion, Mr Allen expressed the hope that the officers and men of the New Zealand would be impreeeed with the cordiality of the- welcome tendered in lliwlrt—it.
