NAVY "LEAGUE DISPLAY.
About 350 members of the Auckland branch of the Navy League, under the charge of Mr Pickford and Captain Hood (executive officer), went down to the North Head in the Onewa for the purpose of escorting the battleship to". the anchorage. On board were 100.children from the Devonport School, all members of the League. These bore red, white, and blue flags,, and- loud cheers greeted the New Zealand, the children singing "Rule Britannia" and "The Red, White, and Blue." The Navy League launch led the way dowp the harbour in front* of the battleship. j
