T- E. Eoe, in his et_tane_it to the Offieiial Assignee in Bankruptcy, Sets down rris HabHities at £251 15/1. Of this £250 is secured, tie estimated value of s_eh sejcurity being £380. The assets are: St*jck-in-terade, £20 17/2; surplus from securities!, £130; total, £150 17/2; deficiesncy, £100 17/11. The bankrupt states that he started b_siness at Te Kuiti in March, 1911, as a carter, with £30 capital. He bought 3 drays and 3 horses, paying down £30. He ascribesd his failure to the bad sea<&on in the spring of 1911 and the summer and winter of 1912. He lost Considerable over a contract to cart the material for the Te Mapara school. In June, 1912, he lost a horse valuejd at £50, which died from inflaanmation due t-o the bad weat_er. The same _i-on-tii he lost a brood mare valued at £20, which disappeared, and had not yet been found. P. Wilkie, saddler, Taumarnnui, has been adjudicated a bankrupt upon a credi tor's petition. A. 3. McK-rbbin, land agent, of Hamilton, has also been adjudicated a bankrupt on a creditor's petition.
