"ARRESTED" STEAMER SOLD.
Too small tug Doto, which was •arrested at this port some sis weeks ago in consequence of a failure on the pari of her owner to meet a liability in respect of wages, was offered at auction this morning by Messrs. X- C. Carr and Sans, ander ordeT from the .mortgagejes, and found a purchaser at £550. It is undeystood that steps are being taken to form a syndicate with the objejct of workinc her as a tug in and about Auckland. The Doto Ls an Iron vessel of 29 tons register, and is 58 feet in le?ngth and fitted with al6 h.p. engine. She ■was built at Gisborne in IS9I, and for a n_m_«r of ye_u-s was worked as a tug and trawler out of Xapier and Wellington- For some m-ontis past She has been, employed as a tug in Auckland Harbour;' and since -her' arrest has been moored at the Hobson Street wharf ei•__3SJO_.
