A few years ago M Southerners designated Mr. Bedford m "the boy orator"; in the interim ha oratorical powers have greatly developed, and he stands out to-day as one of tin Dominions best platform men. Thi ■ Rev. John Dawson, of Wellington, secret tary of the New Zealand Alliance, is to be the second speaker. The meeting, which starts at 8 sharp, is to be preceded I by a half-hour's. recital on the grand organ by Mr. W. T. Sharp, the programme of which appears in our advertising columns. Four processions, from different parts of the city, each headed by a brass band, all of which are giving their services gratuitously, will march to the Town Hall. TJie Salvation Army City Corps Band leads the procession itt ' • Queen Street. The Newton Army Cdrpiij Band heads that in Karangahape Koad;' :' the Central Mission Band leads the Bjpl monds Street contingent, and tho Tern-I perance Guards Band that in Wellington 1 and Cook Streets.
