TAKAPUNA WATER SUPPLY.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—Would it not be. advisable for the Takapuna people, in view of the threatened disaster to their one, and at present only water supply, to secure the services of the mysterious water-diviner —in this case the Rev. Mason—so that the likely country in the locality of the Lake may be thoroughly tested? if water should be located to any great extent (it docs not seem impossible, if one is judge by the wonderful findings in seemingly hopeless localities, that have been the result of the water-diviner's work in the Old Country), it would then be possible, without incurring much expense, to connect with the Lake, and so counteract the heavy withdrawals.—l am. etc., SYMPATHISER.
