LIEUT LATHAM'S DEATH.
TOSSED BT A BUFFALO. AJT UNLOADED RIFLE. (Received 11.50 a.m.) PARIS, September 6. A letter describing the death of Lieut, Hubert Latham ithe French airman) in Africa in July, says that, the first shot, fjed at 20 paces, struck the buffalo. The beast then charged Latham, who kneeled and calmly waited for it. He pulled the trigger, but unfortunately his rifle was not loaded. •The buffalo tossed him three times, Jailing him.
