DEVONPORT LICENSING COMMITTEE.

QUARTERLY MEETING. The only bumness before the ijuarterly meeting of the Pevonport Licensing Committee, this morning was consideration ■>t applications for transfers of licenses relating lo the Ni>rtl)cr»ie and the Mon Desir Hotels. In the former, the transfer from Arthur Whitehead to Reuben 11. A. Oiishman was granted (Afr. Wilson Smith appearing for the applicant). An application for the transfer of the Mon Desir license from Ernest E. Meredith to Dugald Thomson (Mr. Mulgan) was also granted. The only discordant note of meeting was (he hcHlth officer's report (in the sanitation of (he \V;trll' Hotel, which was rloScrilied as primalhe.
