In connection with the presentation of the "Messiah" on Tuesday night at the Town Hall by the members of the Auckland Choral Society, special arrangements have been made with Mr. Maughan Barnett to give a short recital on the organ prior to the commencement of the oratorio. It is, therefore, desirable that all those who wish to take this opportunity of hearing the eminent organist should be seated not later than 7.30 pjn., as after that hour the doors will be closed during the performance of each item. The committee of the ChoraJ Society trusts that the public will facilitate the carrying out of the big task incidental to seating 2000 people, by being in attendance as early as possible. The unanimous verdict of the public is that this year's issue of the "Observer Christmas Annual" sty-passes all previous productions.
