The second trial of Dr. Bennett Clark Hyde for the murder of Colonel Thomas Swope by poisoning ended in a niis-triad. A juror escaped, and when captured be was found to be insane. The jury was then discharged. The ease excited- tremendous interest, Dr. Hyde being medical attendant on-,.CoL. Swope.
