BURGLARY AT THAMES.
TKKKH SHOPS ENTERED.
TWO BOYS WASTED.

WAIHI, this day. Thrne business places were burglarised at an early hour this moruins, cash and goods being taken in each casts. The premises of Messrs. Donaldson (bootmaker), in Main-street, were entered by thieves smashing a side window with a stone and releasing the catch. A sum of six shillings in three-penny-bits was removed from the cash register. A couple of pairs of football boots were also stolen. Messrs. Cullen and Co., drapers, suffered to the extent of £3 in cash and » couple of boys' Korfolk suits. Cash was taken from the till at the shop of Mr. Kdwards, fruiterer, in Kenny-street Constable Williamson, discovered a "plant'' in a vacant house in Wilsonstreet, consisting of a double-barrelled gun and a large quantity of provisions. The police state that last night's raids were committed by two boys, who dressed themselves in the stolen suits and boots, etc., and in their new outfit left by train for Thames this morning. Three boys are implicated in the thefts. Information has been sent to Thames, and tho boys 'will be arrested to-day.

TWO ARRESTS SIADE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAD 32, this day. The police have been notified that two boys have been arrested at Thames. When apprehended, they were -wearing new- suites, and had money in their possession. The premises of Mr. Irvine, fruiterer, in Barry-road, -were also 'broken into last night, and cash removed from the till.
