NATIONAL INSURANCE.
A HOSPITAL PROTEST. LONDON", December 2. A conference, representing 200 hospitals, carried a resolution to the effect that the exi.-ting system of treatment cannot be maintained if the income available is diminished under the. provisions of the National Insurance Bill. Sir Henry Burdett estimates that the voluntary hospitals will lose half their incomes. UNAMENDED BY THE LORDS. LONDON, December 2. The newspapers indicate that the House of Lords will pass the bill without amendment, thus declining to take any responsibility for details. RACING THOUGH THE BILL. (Received K a.m.) LONDON, December 3. The Liberal "Weekly Nation" expresses the opinion that the House of Lords, deprived, of the poyers o frevision of the Insurance Bill which the Parliament Bill reserved, will be forced to race through vast complications in a few hours. This is an unfair way of working the new >constitution.
