THE ABANDONED LAKEMBA. (Received 9.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The barque Ketty has arrived at Newcastle with the crew of the abandoned barque Lakrmba. Tlv> captain of the latter stated that on October !l the vessel met a heavy gale, accompanied by enormous sen. find had to be hove-to. During the night the sand ballast shifted., and she heeled ovpt on to her beam ends. The crew worked hard to right her for two days, and then the Ketty hove in sight, and the Lakemha's captain decided to abandon his ship, as it, was hopeless to attempt to save the Lakemba. She was still floating when he left her, but he was of opinion that she would soon fill and sink. 1 I \
