THE CANTERBURY TEAM. (By Telegraph.—Press. Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Mr. Tom Bain, probably the best forward in Canterbury football this year, lost two fingers and part of the third of his right hand in an accident with a rivetting machine yesterday.. He will consequently be unable to make the southern trip with the Canterbury team. Oram, who stood out of the Canterbury team against Taranaki on Saturday, is still unable to play. Maxwell and Shadbolt will fill the vacant places in the Canterbury team for the southern tour.
