COLLAPSE OF A BRIDGE.
ENGINE FALLS INTO RIVER, (By Telegraph.—Pr.-ss Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. Last, night one of the spans of the bridge on Brownlies' trajxiline in Pelorous Valley gave way, and a locomotiive with several trucks fell into the river, a distance of 200 feet. The driver (David Young) had a marvellous escape. He jumped -clear. Young was severely injured about the head, but otherwise uninjured.
