TEACHERS' SALARIES. (Received 10.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The State school teachers- at a mass meeting decided not to rest until salaries are increased. A paid organiser was appointed. A FIRE BAIX. (Received 10.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. A fire ball fell at St. Kilda and extinguished all the electric lights in the vicinity. Several persons in a building near by were rendered speechless for a few minutes. A WARPED LINE. (Received 10.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A train left the rails at Riverstone, the passengers being badly shaken but none injured. The line was repaired, but later when a second train was going slowly the engine jumped the track at the same place. It is supposed that the line became warped. REFERENDUM AGAIN. (Received 10.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Mr Fisher declares that he will resubmit the referendum questions at next election, probably in ft modified form.
