The health committee of the City Council recommends that street queues in connection with the theatres should not be permitted. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN _E»AJttUA- ..'.'. MENT. ADELAIDE, June 28. The Governor, who opened Parliament tc-day, announced a credit balance at the end of June of £200,000, which would be used for reducing the public debt. The proposed legislation includes, the purchase and. control of wharves, raiiyays to open mallee lands for settlement, adult suffrage for the Legislative Council, and an Arbitration Bill. The Government intend to establish brickworks and a woodyaid for the supply of firewood. Both Houses adjAurried till Tuesday, when Mr. Peake wall move a no-confidence motion. ACTING-PREMIER MARRIED.
SYDNEY. June 28. Mr. W. M. Hughes (the Acting-Federal Prime Minister), who was a widower, today married Miss Campbell, daughter of a well-known New South Wales pastors! - ist. This makes the third Minister who has married since Mr. Fisher's team took office.
