Majesty's Theatre Nicola i* to bo tied hand and foot with 100 feet of rope by a local rope expert* who is confident that Nicola will never get out of his fastenings. Nicola not only accepts the challenge, but advises the gentleman that ne can use as much rope as he wishes, and can fasten it iv any manner he chooses as long as it does not prove Injurious, to'his limbs. This will unquestionably be a very interesting test, and should be witnessed by another crowded attendance.
FULLER'S PICTURES. At the King-s. Theatre this evening an addltiou will be made to the programme which commenced its run on Monday, when "A Tale of Twa. Cities," a picture "founded on Charles Dickens' famous novel, will be screened; The staging of this romance is stated to be a remarkably effective one which, should add greatly to the plenenre '?£ the. Programme. Patrons, are reminded that this is the last time at which the current series of pictures will be shown a complete change being due to-morrow.'
WEST'S PICTURES. West's will present their change of programme- to-night at the Roy« Albert Hall, The selection appears a very fine one and augurs well for a successful run "A Tale of. Two Cities," which was screened on Monday-evening, will continue the star .attraction This romantic story, by, Charles ? i £. eSS -,i S -?? lendialy acted - and-the mauv telling situations are faithfully and cleverly presented. "The Volley of A'Osta " in the province of Turin, in Italy is. said to possess many charming scenes. "A Mother's Pity" and "The School Mann" are said to deal with the sentimental and tragic phases of everyday life with convincing distinctness. Pathe's latest Gazette contains a, remarkable firework display and the late fatal fire at the Empire (Edinburgh). Quite a merry budget of-comics is promised. Including "Toto and the Flag," "Leo's Express Letter," and "Postal Delay." The new upholstered tip-up chairs in the dress circle are much appreciated.
THE RINKS. There was the usual large attendance at the Royal Rink (Khyber Pass) yesterday evening. This afternoon and evening the usual sessions will b e held; and to-morrow evening a "black and white" night will be held, when graceful skating competitions will be put on. The patronage |at the Windsor Rink (Three Lamps) yesterday was large for all sessions. This afternoon and evening the usual sessions win be observed The management cannot complain of lack of patronage at the Prince's Rink The maplewood floor makes roller-skating a delightful pastime. A poster and fancy dress carnival is announced for Wednesday July 19th.
There is a steady patronage at the Glideaway Rink in Coburg-street, and yesterday attendance was no exception to the rule. The rink will be open as usual to-day.
STEWART'S PICTURES. The Tivoll is drawing good houses nightly. The star pictures, "The Modern Prodigal" and "An Unknown Claim," arc-beau-tifully depicted. The comics are good, especially "The Drum," which, as, a. final picture, causes the audience to go, hojne
