:. ARRANGEMENTS FOB VISITORS. ' ' According .'to a special communication from the Durbar Committee to Messrs. Thomas Cook' and Sons, accommodation at the Cordnation Durbar of Delhi'in November "next . SviU .be. even more restricted than was previously announced. The communication in question states! i that there will be accommodation for' about 400 visitors,-in-addition to those in the official camps. The equipment i of tho camps has been entrusted to the Army and Navy Co-operative Society. Four camps .will be established, partly in two buildings and partly in tents, and the minimum period for which accommodation will be-reserved is twenty days, the lowest rate for that period being 40 guineas, ranging to as" high a sum as £160. - The lower--rate , will be, for. the tents, and the higher for the wooden buildings. The terms will include board and lodging, lights, iir.es, and. .water, but will -not- include conveyances .or ~ any extra's. Each camp will be in charge of a special camp, officer,.who will, make arrangements- for. the .visitprg at "the various public State functions, and seats will' be reserved at such. functions' for visitors in''the camps. The services of-a special medical officer will also be available.. The camps be • officially opened oh November 29, though visitors can make use of them without further charge a week, before. In addition to these camps prepared places will be provided where visitors can pitch their tents,' and make- their own-arrangements entirely, a nominal charge being made for ground rent. These places will also be under the control of an officer, and will be provided with external lights, water supply and . The camps will- be situated in the vicinity of the stations oh the railway's,- which have been constructed to unite the different centres of interest in the main Durbar camps. Visitors are advised to-take- their own'motors or other conveyances,' 'for,- while arrangements, will be* ihade" to provide carriages, ..on,.hire, the prices will be necessarily very high. All applications for accommodation must be in previous.to a. fixed day, after "which none will be considered.
