FEDERAL MINISTERS ABSENT.
FROM EARL DUDLEY'S liEVEE,
i - ;(Received 10.50 a.m.) MELBOURNE, June 23. There was much comment yesterday at ■the non-attendance of any of the Federal Ministers at Earl Dudley's Coronation levee. This led to a revival of the rnmour of friction between Lord Dudley and the Ministry.
• Mr. Hughes excused himself on the ground of illness, while other Ministers disclaim any intention of discourtesy. It is stated on their behalf that each took it for granted his colleagues would be present and did n6t attend merely because furgent official business required attention. . . . .
