VANCOUVER MAIL SERVICE.
AUSTRALIA'S POSITION. MAT OFFER BIG SUBSIDY. (Received 11.4 ft a_m.) BRISBANE, this day. A deputation urged Mr. Fisher to retain the present Vancouver service. The Prime Minister replied that the matter would be fully gone into. He did not know whether a subsidy of £50,000 would be required, but if it were clear that st would be in the interests of Australia ht might go even further.
