CONNAUGHTS IN NATAL. DURBAN, December 3. At Pietermaritzburg on Thursday the Duke and Duchess of Connaught received addresses, and were entertained at luncheon in the Town Hall, 200 guests being present. The Duke laid the foundation stone of the Natal University College in the morning, and attended a Mayoral garden party in the afternoon, arriving here on Friday. .The Ducal party received a splendid welcome, and speaking in the Durban Town Hall, where 3500 were assembled, his Grace paid a tribute to the municipal enterprise, also the loyalty everywhere manifested. Later he reviewed the Durban Light Infantry, of which he is Colonel-inChief, and sailed to-day in the Balmoral Castle Homewards. Mr. Fisher and Mr. Fowlds were at Grabamstown on Thursday, and arrived at Port Elizabeth on Friday. After being entertained at luncheon by the Mayor they departed for Capetown.
