RAILWAY FATALITY.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. A shocking fatality occurred in. the railway yard this morning, when William Bickerstaff, railway foreman, failed ito observe some moving trucks when crossing the line, and was knocked down and killed instantly, the body being terribly mutilated. Deceased had been in the Railway Department's employ at Ashburton for thirty years, and was well known and respected in tjie town.
