The Chilian Government expert states that the nitrate deposits belonging to the State axe capable of an output sufficient for a century's consumption. Mr. Norman Wilson has been appointed secretary of the Victorian Club, in succession to Mr. Buckley. There were 58 applicants for the position. Negotiations for settlement of Manitoba's boundary are proceeding at Ottawa. Manitoba offers Ontario access to Hudson Bay, and a settlement on this basis is probable.
