NORTH SHORE ROWING CLUB. "The 37th annual meeting of the North Shore Rowing Club, was held in the Clubroom, Devonport,' last night. Mr. D. W. McLean was voted to the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet, a synopsis of which was published on Thursday, was adopted. Nine, active members were proposed and two honorary members. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided to reduce the number of" vice-presidents to six. The following officers'were elected for the ensuing season:—-President, Mr. W. Swinnerton • vice-presidents, Messrs. D. W. McLean, F. K. Mason, T. Barclay, A. R. Watson, F. G. Ewington, and G. L. Peacocke: club captian, Mr. W. Bowler; deputy-captain, Mr. F. Bennett; hon. sec, Mr. R. i. Spinley (re-elected) : hon. treas.. Mr. J. Blakey • hon. auditors, Messrs. S. Mays and J. Alexl ander (re-elected) : General Committee Messrs. C. Wykes, 11. Gnibb, E. Gilmour M. Harrison, and C. Weston ; delegates to Auckland Rowing Association, Messrs A Powley, F. Best, G. Wynyard; Selection Committee, Messrs. W. Bowler, W. Strick, F. Bennett. A letter was received from Mr. F. Lloyd Diddams donating a set ot trophies to be known "as the Kohn trophies. WEST END CLUB. The twenty-sixth annnal meeting of the West End Rowing Club was held at the Boathouse, Str. Mary's beach, Ponsonby, last night. Mr. J. Clark presided over a good attendance. The committee's report states that during the season new members had been elected and seventeen resignations received. The membership was as follows :'■—Honorary 100, active 147, t>tal 247. Of the 147 active members thirty-three are on the absent members' list. The club's total receipts from all sources were £371 IS/7 and expenditure £288 8/4. The general account Is in credit £12 1/9 and debenture, account £71 3/6. making a total credit of £83 5/3. The clab was represented at the following regattas :—Ponsonby, Whangarei, Hamilton Ngaruawahia, and Rotorua, and the competing crews succeeded in gaining eight wins out of twenty-two starts. At an extraordinary general meeting held durln* the season it was decided to order a new plant of practice fours. These boats had now arrived In first-class condition, and should result in some rery keen contests next season. The old boats have been thoroughly overhauled and offered for sale to the various country clubs. The club's plant now consists of one best-and-best racer, two racing fours (clinker), eight practice fours three double-scullers (convertible pair oars), one stump outrigger, two pleasure boats, and a full supply or onrs. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. T. Peacock ; president, Mr Murdoch' McLean ; captain, Mr. D V Hanna; deputy-captain, Mr. E. Wright; delegates to A.R.A., Messrs. A. M. Wilson, W. G. Mason and D. V. Hanna; Selection Committee! Messrs. D. V. Hanna. W. W. Wright, and A. M. Wilson : auditors, Messrs. G. S. Mitchell and S. M. Barry. After the meeting" Mr. F. Diddams, on behalf of the firm of A. Kohn, donated a set of trophies to be zcalled "the Kohn trophies, and also presented Messrs. Robinson, Nicholson, and Cox with diamond scarf pins won at the Auckland R.A. gala.
