Dairy cows and heifers close to profit sold at from £5 10/ to £10; others, £3 10/ to £6; calves, to £1 10/. The advertised breeding ewes sold at from 7/ to 11/. At Clevedon on Thursday we held a clearing sale of 'Mr Geo. Forbes' live and dead stock. There .was a large attendance, and good prices were realised. Dairy cows and heifers sold, at from £4 10/ to £S; bull, £4 10/; yearling hellers, £2 14/; horses, £5 to £20; gig, £11 5/; dray, £12 10/; sundries at satisfactory prices. Also on account of Mr J. R Walsh, who has sold his farm: Breeding -ewes realised 'from 0/0 to 11/; lambs, 5/6; cows, £5 to £3; horses, £3 to £10. At the Durham Yards on 'Friday horses were yarded in usual numbers. Heavy draught horses sold at from £27 to £39; medium draught, £18 to £22 10/; light harness horses and hack, £7 to £10; ponies, £1 10/ to £5; sulky, £13 10/; wagon. £30. At Pukekohe Yards on Friday we held a special sale of dairy cows, when 3SO cows were yarded. Cows close to profit sold under i keen competition. Dairy cows and heifers to calve in July and August sold at from £6 10/ to £12; others, more backward. £5 to I £6 15/. The advertised cows on account of j Mr F. Cooper sold at from £6 10/ to £12;, on account of Mr W. J. Walters, £b 10/ j to £11 10/; buR, £3 to £5/10. At Waiukn Yards ou Saturday we held I our monthly sale. Ox beef, from £1 2/ to 24/ per | lOOlbs; cows and heifers, 18/ to 21/. Steers i sold at from £7 2/G to £16 5/, which was. obtained for a pen of Mr .las. Lord, of -laumraturoto: cows and heifers, £4 to is 2/6. Calves, ia short supply, sold at late rates. A draft of 20 bullocks, from Mr Jas. Lord, of Maungaturoto, averaged £12 3/6: also 20 small, but extra well-fatted, bullocks from Mr Robert Clark, of Waiau P-ah, averaged £10 17/6. Sheep were yarded in less numbers than usual, and showed no improvement on last week's rates. Best wethers, to 25/; others, 16/ to 19/0. Extra heavy ewes sold at from £1 1/ to £1 2/3; others, 16/ to IS/: lambs, in usual numbers; extra well-fatted, 14/ to 17/3: others, 9/3 to 11/9. Pigs were yarded in average numbers, and sold at last week's rates. No baconers yarded. .Porkers, £1 6/ to £1 S/; weaners, 8/ to i "\Ve submitted extra largo catalogues of j hides, skins and tallow on Tuesday. Hides. —Market remains the same for all I good conditioned bides; scored and sloppy, market easier.
