BRISBANE GAS STRIKE. (Received 12.10 p.m.) BRISBANE, this day t The employees of the Gas Comp'auj are discussing the question or calling a general strike unless all the strikers are reinstated. The strikers were all reinstated with the exception of those whose places had been filled during the trouble. These were ordered to stand down until vacancies occurred. CAPSIZE OF A BRAKE. HOBART, July 18* Horses attached to a brake 20 footballers bolted, and the conveyance capsized, six being severely injured. TWO MEN ELECTROCUTED. SYDNEY, July ISV During the gale two telephone linesmen named Matheson and Hogg were engaged in repairing the lines at Alexandria when a piece of galvanised iron, blown from a roof, cut a high tension power wire, in which the men became entangled. Both were fatally etectrocuW.
