Mr Hage, the (Minister of lEtnance in. -Hie Christensen Cabinet, declared that Albert!, three months before "the Cabinet was formed, asserted that he should take over tie portfolio of finance. ' Mr Hage, 'however, insisted on haying it 'himself, and finally; Albert! gave way, and was appointed Minister of Justice. Had Alberti succeeded in Iris desire, he might well Ihave emptied thecoffers of the State as well as those of the Peasants' Bank, of which, he was managing director while Cabinet Minister.
The trial of the two statesmen wffl last about three weeks. It is expected that if the case against Mr Christensen is dismissed the Liberal party, which, has- a majority; in tae Folkething, will accept laim as 'Premier again.
