Of the King's horses Slim Lad has been sold for 630 guineas, and Perrier for 2000 for Buenos Aires. Negotiations between Spain and the Vatican over the treatment of the re-ligious-orders in Spain have been severed. A Royal decree issued at Lisbon censures Archbishop Braga for suppressing a religious periodical at the Pope's instance -without the concurrence of the Crown. The Royal Commission recommends that the Crown shali continue to appoint magistrates, with the assistance of county committees of selections. It advises that workingmen be eligible.
