AUSTRALIA'S DEFENCES.
ADMIRAL HENDERSON TO REPORT. ' MELBOURNE, Juno 16. As a result of Sir George Reid's negotiations with the Admiralty, the Federal Government has arranged with Admiral Sir R. F. Henderson, a leading naval expert, to visit Australia to report upon the selection of naval bases and sites for naval schools, gunnery and torpedo schools, naval depots, dockyards, and other matters connected with naval defence. He leaves for Australia about the middle of July.
