ACCESSION OATH.
PROTESTS AGAINST ALTERATION. (Received 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, June 7. A meeting of 3000 members of the Church Association, under Lord Kin- | naird's chairmanship, protested against any alteration in the Accession Oath. (Received 11.40 a.m.) ADELAIDE, this day. The Methodist Conference has resolved against any alteration in the coronation oath, which would relax in any degree the safeguards ensuring a Protestant succession to the Throne, or permit an oath and declaration to be understood in any form than their obviously and ordinarily flnderstood meaning.
