PRESBYTERIAN PULPIT VACANCIES. DUNEDIN, Tuesday. At a meetirrg of the Dun'edin Presbytery, held to-day, a proposal sent down by .the General Assembly was considered. The proposal ■ was to the effect that in the event of a vacancy occurring in a pastorate the Presbytery would make a list of ministers whom it regarded as suitable, for the position, and this list would be considered by a selection committee. If the vacancy was not filled within nine months the Presbytery would \ have the power to fill it without the op-' tion' of a call. The proposal was rejected by a- large majority. - DREDGE HAND DROWNED. • GREYMOUTH, Tuesday. A man named AVTIIiam Glen, who has worked on the Notown dredge ever since she started, fell overboard at three o'clock this morning, and was drowned.
