MOTOR TRAINS.
V.' FOUR TO BE BUILT-- _ : FOR SPARSELY SETTLED DIS-; . "tRICTS. ; (By TelograpiL— Own Correspondenxj '. WELLjDfGKTON, this day. ■ In conversation with the "Star's" representative, the Hon. J. A. Millar said there was a system of running motor trains in Queensland in which he wai particularly interested. He had already given instructions for four self-contained motor carriages to be built at the Petona workshops, and it had been necessary t» send Home for engines for them. The motor trains would probably be firsi tried on suburban lines, "but it was bio opinion that they would be found most useful in sparsely settled districts whete it did not really pay to run full traia services.
