OONGEATUIiATORY DISTRICT ORDER. This yea-r the Auckland Engineers, tm<ieT Captain L. Shera, -won tlie efficiency shield, competed for throughout the Dominion. Last year they -were last on the list, and the marvellous improvement they have made has earned them the congratulations of the -whole district. This morning Colonel Wolfe, officer coinmanding the. district, issued the following special order in connection "with the event:— "The O.C. District is very gratified at the smrcess of the , No: 3 'Co~"N.Z. Engineer Vols. (Auckland) jin winning the Challenge Shield open for competition to all Engineer companies in the "Dominion.: The achievement is all the more remarkable considers the--place'taken-by the compjinvj last ami reflects the highest credit on the Cominanding Officer, 1 N.C. officers and men of the -company' He desires to convey • his heartiest congratuhitions to-all ranks.—Robert Carpenter, Capt., A.A.G."" .
