' EHOBES SCHOJ_A_I AS GEOLOGIST. PERTH, March 22. Mr. Allan Thompson, a resident of Kalgoorlie, has come to an arrangement iwiti Captain Scott to accompany the Antarctic expedition as geologist. Mr. .Thompson was tie first Rhodes scholar (who went to Oxford from New Zealand. He proceeds to Sydney to confer with I Professor David, and afterwards goes to (New Zealand to join the Terra Nova. I LONDON, March 22. | Captain Scott's dogs, tents, and sledges have been named by the subscribing schools. I WELLINGTON, this day. i The Prime Minister has received a message from Captain Scott, acknowledging i with.thanks -the vote of £1000 towards his Antarctic expedition. ■
