The last meeting of the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, as at preseut constituted, was held this afternoon, at the oflice, High-street, Mr C. D. Grey (Mayor of Auckland) presiding. Donation. —Mr C. Klette forwarded n cheque for £3 ?,fl, as a donation to the hospital funds, the money being the balance or certain funds collected for a proposed Croatian and Dalmatian benevolent Th'anV-s.—Major Mncflonald sent a cordial letter of thanks for the kindness of the Board and its officials to the cadets at the recent camp in the Domain, when the camp arrangements were upset by bad weather. Country Relieving Officer.—A suggestion from the'Wuitemata County Council for the appointmeut of v country relieving officer to deal -with urgent cases ol hardship in the outlying districts was reserved for consideration by the new Board.
