Dodge (Canterbury). . ;■ CENTRES' CONFERENCE. 'A conference of delegates from th« varloTie centres of th-a Dominion was held at the Amateur Sports Club last evening. Mr. Katterns (Auckland) presided, and there were also present: Messrs. J. F. Magulre (Anckland), F. Wilton and C. Moore (Wellington), C. D. Campbell (Wanganui), , and G. Rich (Canterbury). Mr. C. D. Campbell was appointed secretary. The following remits from the various centres were received and dealt with: Diving.—lt was decided to recommend ■Srait the scoring points for diving be amended as follows:—Style, 2; flight, 4; entry, 2; recovery, 2. , Nest Championship.Tihe Wellington Centre pwt forward the claims of Wellington for the next championship meeting, and after discussion the matter was left to the New Zealand Council. A further remit from ■the same centre the l *, a more equitable mode of allotting the ohampioi ships be adopted was -also lost. . > A motion that 'the New Zea-brad Association negotiate with the Australasian Union wi-tli a view to the New Zealand body rejoining that union was carried unanimously, .as was a motion that the association furnish all centres with a .report nnil biUance-eheot at seast 14 days before the annual meeting. Professionalism. Auckland Centra brought up the question of excluding professional footballers from anrateu-r swimming bodies, but the motion was lost. Several other questions were also considered.
