INCOME TAX CASE.

(By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) C-OIISTCHURCH, this day. The case brought by the Income Tan Department against Bowron Brothers and G. J. Smith, M.L.C., will be heard in tie Magistrate's Court at Christchureh on March first. There are three informations, charging the firm (1) with having made a false return in writing in regard to income; (2) having delivered a false return; (3) having made a false return, affecting the firm's liability, by which the firm evaded full taxation. The offence is alleged to have been laid by Mr. W. M. Tyers. of Wellington, Inspector under the bicome Tax Assessment Act.
