BOWLING.
The adjourned meeting of the Coro- ' mandel Bowling Club was held in tha 1 County Social Hall, Mr. St. George presiding. The annual subscription was ' fixed at 30/ for all members joining on or before September 30 next, an additional entrance fee of 10/ to be charged for all i members joining after that date. The election of officers resulted as follows:— Patrons, the Hon. James McGowan, M.L.C., and Mr. E. H. Taylor, M.P.; president, Mr M. Gorrie; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. H. Applegate, S. James, H. Rostgard, and C. Fraser; treasurer, Mr. G. F. Mellars; hon. secretary, Mr. G. G. Paul; committee, Messrs. Ben. B. Johnson, E H. Law, G. Bt. George, J. W. Barker, Rev. C. A. Vaughan, treasurer and speretary ex officio; auditor, Mr. A. Baker. The club has acquired a good ' section of land next to Woollams-street, I level, well sheltered, and naturally drained.
