In our list of the trophy winners of the Auckland Poultry Association's show the name of Mr. Charles Duncan was omitted as being the winner of the best canary in the show.
A member of a variety combination showing in Christchurch, who was somewhat adversely criticised in one of the newspapers, assaulted the critic. He is alleged to have approached the newspaper man in the street, and asked if he had written the critique. . Being answered in the affirmative, he let out at him with his clenched fist, and followed the scribe into the newspaper office and knocked him. down.
