A BUILDER'S BANKRUPTCY.
A meeting of creditors in the ban! rupt estate of John Donald, builder, o Auckland, was held this afternoon in th office of the Official Assignee, Mr. B Gerard presiding. In his statement, pre viously published, unsecured creditor stood at £718 7/-; secured creditors a< counted for £284 12/-; and surplus ove: securities were stated to be £231, tin deficiency being shown at £534 10/7. ! Being sworn, bankrupt said that abou three weeks ago he copied into tin ledger produced his accounts from roug! notes he had made in another book, now at home. This was the only book hi kept. He did not ascertain his tru e po sition till about two years. He thei found out that things had gone th< wrong way—this was after finishing tin last contract, details of which he had entered in the book. (Proceeding.)
