(To the Editor.) ; Sir, —Of late the peaceful nights of Devonport have been made hideous by the howling and barking of the canine race of mixed-breeds."-Where is the "Garrad" of Devonport? And Wherej oh, ■where has my little dog gone? Not..into the proverbial sausage, but somewhere in the vicinity of Calliope-road. Oh, that bur worthy Councillors would awaken, hot only from their slumbers, where the adr-i is- perforated nightly with boots, but to the fact that the. assistance of-the-dog-catcher is. required to take charge of these "midnight wanderers.—l am, etc.,- - '' ;■.,-■ CANINE.
