* CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. On the Cambridge courts the following matches were played yesterday afternoon, for trophies given by the. president of the club. The games are all handicap ones, those who score 75 points first being declared tbe winners:— A Grade.—Combined doubles: Miss Clark and A. Nlcol (rep. 15), 75. v. Miss' Jeffries aud G. Court (rec. 5), 69; Miss Cox and C. P. Stone (owe 15), 75, v. Miss Loudon and J. Cox (owe 5), 68. Singles: J. Cox (owe 20), 75. v. R. J. Roberts (rec. 26), 65. B Grade.—D. B. Anderson (rec. 25), 75, v. A. -Willis (rec. 17). 65: C. Ruge (rec. 27), 75, v. H. Gardner (rec. 10), 72. Great interest is now being taken In tennis In Cambridge, the club now having a membership of 85, the majority• being ladles. The courts In the domain are full every evening and morning. Last year there were several tennis clubs In Cambridge, but now they have all combined, and play in the Domain.
