LON*DO.\ SALE. OPENING RATES MAINTAINED. (Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, November 25. At the wool sales there was keen competition to-day at full opening rates. American buyers are taking both merinos and crossbreds. LONDON, November 25. The brokers submitted a catalogue of 9054 bales yesterday. There was a good selection of merinos, but the crossbreds were poor. There was a large attendance of American and Continental buyers, and au active demand. Merinos were fully five per cent above September rates, closing, for sorts suitable for America, lo per cent higher. HIGH COMMTSSIONEB'S CABLE. WELLINGTON, this day. The following cable has been received from the High Commissioner:—"The wool sales commeiced with a large attendance sales commenced with a large attendance breds show an average advance on last sale of id and id respectively. Americans are operating freely In suitable lots, and prospects are favourable. -, C. C. AND D. CABLE. NAPIER, this day. The C. C. and D. Co. cabled to-day:— "Frozen beef weaker. To-day"s quotations: Canterbury inuttou, 4d; Napier, Wellington, and North Island, 31d: lamb, first 5 3-Sd, second 5 l-8d; beef hinds 3 5-Bd, fores 3 l-Bd. LONDON. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 25. Copper.—Spot, £63; three months, £63 17/6. Tin.—Spot, £135 12/6; three months, £137 30/. Lead, £13 10/. Tallow.—At the sales 1203 casks were offered, and 302 sold. Mutton. Sne 33/9, medium 30/; beef, fine 32/3, medium 20/6.
