Bankruptcy Laws. —The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce wrote re proposed α-mendment of the bankruptcy laws, suggesting that the matter should be referred to the conference of chambers of commerce next March. It was also pointed out that the petition forwarded was not in accordance with the recommendation of the Chamber in 1907, in which it was suggested that a private or expert trade assignee be appointed in place of the official assignee.
