VICTORIA RIFLES V. NO. 2 G.A.V. On Saturday last the rifle match. Victoria Rifles v .No. 2 G.A.V., was fired on the Penrose range, the former company wiuiifng by 82 points. W. Cox, of the Victorias, made top score, with 97 points, while Captain Cox, W. Cox, and T. Jack all made 49 out of 50 at the 500 yards. Following were the scores:— Victoria Rifles.—Private W. COROMANDEL, Saturday. A match between a team of civilians and n team from the Cororaandel Hides took place to-day. The civilians were leading by 66 points when darkness came on, and, as the volunteers hnd two men yet to fire, It wis decided to make the match a draw.
